A new manga from Chainsaw Man and Fire Punch creator Tatsuki Fujimoto will be released on April 11.
Shueisha editor Shihei Lin announced on their personal Twitter that a new stand-alone manga from Fujimoto will premiere exclusively on Shonen Jump+, the company's digital manga platform. Lin did not reveal any additional details, including a title or a story synopsis, for the new title, but they did state that the new manga was a "feature length" story that will be about 200 pages long. Lin promised to reveal more information about the manga before its release.

Last year, Fujimoto released Look Back, another one-shot story that was also released as a Shonen Jump+ exclusive. The story, which told the story of two young artists who both dream of becoming famous manga creators, was one of the most popular releases in the history of Shueisha's digital manga service, earning more than 2.5 million views within its first 24 hours of release. The manga received almost unanimous praise from critics and was successful enough to warrant a physical print release from the publisher.
Fujimoto is best known for creating the surreal horror/action manga, Chainsaw Man, which was first published in 2018. The series takes place in a world where humans live alongside devils, and tells the story of Denji, a young man who is brutally murdered but comes back to life after making a pact with his chainsaw devil pet. Denji is eventually manipulated into joining the Public Safety Devil Hunters, a government-backed organization that hunts down devils who have become a threat to the public.
The Chainsaw Man manga completed the first part of its story in late 2020. A second part, which will also be released through Shonen Jump+, is scheduled to continue the story sometime in the third quarter of 2022. Despite being on break for the entirety of 2021, Chainsaw Man still managed to become one of the top 10 best-selling manga of the year and took home the Harvey Award for Best Manga, beating out other critically acclaimed titles such as Spy x Family and Boys Run the Riot. The manga is currently being adapted into an anime series by MAPPA, the animation studio behind Jujutsu Kaisen and the on-going Attack on Titan: The Final Season.
Fujimoto's manga, including Chainsaw Man and Look Back, are distributed in English by publisher VIZ Media. The anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man is set to premiere sometime before the end of the year.
